This is an actual ad that appears on my Gmail page often. How might they have known I so wanted an opportunity to demonstrate to the world what I abhore about the South and Protestant Christians of the variety that live there?

The photo ops are too staged and perfect.

The "anti-Gaddafi" fighters are too young and are without uniforms in many cases. They lack the look of battle-hardened soldiers.

Something is wrong in this picture.

I don't believe all that the media of the West is peddling about the war in Libya.

If Muammar Gaddafi has been toppled, it was done by NATO aircraft with a lot of logistical support from the United States, if not direct involvement. It was not done by those young men being photographed by the media.

I question what the motives of the West are in toppling this North African Muslim regime. I have always questioned those motives.

Seldom does the United States do anything to avenge "human rights violations". More often than not, as in Iraq, they invent new ways to violate human rights, if so doing will further world capitalism's cause.

I do not doubt that Muammar Gaddafi was a ruthless strong arm dictator, as was Saddam Hussein. But in both cases, I seriously question the alleged altruism involved in the US and Great Britain's enthusiasm for righting wrongs and liberating Arab masses.

Does Libya have petroleum reserves?

Do western companies stand to gain anything monetarily in the Libya shake up?

Again, I am suspicious of all the cheerleading in the West about a rag tag band of non-uniformed young men routing Gaddafi.

I question the factual nature of the reporting and I question the motives of those that have bombed Muammar Gaddafi into oblivion, if that is truly the case.

Democrats begged Barack Obama not to give in to John Boehner on the prime time speech issue, as on many other issues in the recent past. When will you accept, Democrats, that Barack Obama lacks the courage or spunk to stand up and defy Republicans on any issue? Ever?

Obama is a nice guy--too nice to be president of this nation of scoundrels.

We need a kick-ass president who would have demanded Wednesday night's air time, regardless of a Republican debate.

I do not know that Dominique Strauss-Kahn came to New York for any reason other than IMF business, but in any case, I wish to correct a misconception obvious in the headline writer's thinking on this story.

Sexuality and love are not directly linked in human interaction.

If DSK came to New York to zap a 32-year-old hotel maid from Africa whom he did not know, he did not come for "love". He came for lust alone.

Love represents long-term caring and solicitous attention to the welfare of the object of one's affection.

While sexuality is certainly an aspect of a normal love relationship, love is not to be confused with blatant sexuality with a stranger to get off one's rocks.

I am unsure many young people have ever experienced love. Else, they would not write headlines as the above and display the flippant attitudes they do about love.

Major segments of the American public are determined to see this young woman hounded to death, if not murdered, because she was not convicted of capital murder in her jury trial now ended.

These latter day self-righteous vigilantes should be forced to cease their interference with the justice system and with Casey Anthony's personal life when she is released from prison in a few days.

I do not think Willie Nelson or anyone else should be imprisoned for a year because they possessed some marijuana when the streets are full of businessmen who have had a Martini or two before piloting their plush SUV's back told their upper middle class neighborhoods.

I am sick of seeing the Nancy Graces of this society revving up idiots all over the nation about Casey Anthony's "not guilty" verdict.

I honestly fear for the life of Anthony, as well as those of her parents.

Should something terrible occur, media figures like Nancy Grace of Fox News will be personally responsible and should be held so accountable in a court of law.

Do these evil, hysteria-fanning manipulators of the masses not understand that we are a nation of laws--that people are no longer lynched by mobs on suspicion of guilt? Of course they do. But the imbeciles they seek to incite do not understand. And those imbeciles all have a handgun.

Casey Anthony was guaranteed a fair trial by the Sixth Amendment to the US Constitution. She had such a trial and the State of Florida was not able to produce enough evidence linking her directly to her child's death for 12 jurors of her peers to convict her of capital murder.

Jurors in such cases are instructed by the court that the prosecution must prove its allegations against the accused "beyond a reasonable doubt" before they can vote for conviction. Jurors in the Anthony case were apparently not so persuaded. Their deliberations were not particularly lengthy. They did their jobs and voted the only way they could vote.

Hotheaded and ignorant quasi-Christian hypocrites who want to exercise vengeance against Casey Anthony should, themselves, be put behind bars and tried for "incitement of violence" or for making "terroristic threats" against the woman and her family.
